Rick Chang is a trial lawyer with over twenty-three years of experience in intellectual property litigation and IP transactions. He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of venues throughout the country, including district courts, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and the International Trade Commission. Technologies and industries in which he has worked include smartphones, computer networking and telecommunications, wireless systems, semiconductors, batteries, expert systems, power controllers, disk drives, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical equipment, and wind tunnels.
With his IP experience, Rick has also counseled clients, inventors, and start-ups in various transactional, regulatory, and licensing matters. Prior to joining Kramer Alberti, Rick worked as a partner at prominent international law firms and in-house counsel at one of the largest and most influential tech companies in Silicon Valley.
