Teri H.P. Nguyen

Teri H.P. Nguyen is an intellectual property litigator who is committed to providing informed, holistic, and strategic legal counsel on a wide array of legal issues – both inside and outside the courtroom. Teri has experiencing litigating all phases of intellectual property and complex commercial litigation matters, from pre-litigation investigation through trial and appeal. She has managed and worked on complex patent and trade secret misappropriation and related business issues involving a myriad of technologies and industries. She is particularly focused on developing and evaluating damages positions while staying focused on the client’s business needs and goals.
While her career has focused on intellectual property and litigation, Teri enjoys working with students as a law professor, teaching legal writing, research, and analysis as well as oral advocacy. And for more than 10 years, Teri coached moot court with U.C. Law San Francisco (formerly U.C. Hastings’) top-tier and nationally ranked Moot Court program. Teri has also pursued interests in environmental studies and sustainability, earning certifications in both from UCLA and in the process of earning a master’s in public administration from the University of Washington School of Public Policy and Governance.
Teri strives to give back to the community. She has served in board positions and in leadership roles in higher education, intellectual property law associations, and national minority bar organizations. She also serves on the board of Seattle-based nonprofit media organization that produces evidence-based early learning television programming for children and families of color.
Prior to joining Kramer Alberti, Teri spent worked in the IP litigation groups of prominent national and international law firms as an associate and later a partner.
